On the high meadow beside the box canyon, the old Storyteller tells the ancient stories of his people, and two centuries later, a thirteen year old girl uses the stories and adds some of her own. This series, Ranch on the Tall Grass Prarie, is about the land located in the Oaklahoma Panhandle, about the people who lived there, and about the animals that lived there with them. Each book begins with the lives of the first Americans and finishes with the Bradford Brothers Ranch, the "BB", and the modern family who occupy it. It covers education first taught by the old people of the tribe, and then by the Internet. The world changes, people change, but the animals do not change. |
